Pre-launch
Train at your gym. Not against it.
Train with what your gym actually has.
Altor maps the exact equipment on your gym floor — every rack, machine and plate — then tells you what to do next, and why. Free for members. Starting in Zürich.
Trust & DACH readiness
- Certified gyms mapped on-site
- GDPR-aligned posture (EU hosting, DPAs for gyms)
- No ads on consumer surfaces
- Deterministic engine — same inputs always produce the same output, so you always know exactly why
The problem
Most apps don't know what's in front of you.
So they hand you a generic plan and a catalog of movements your gym doesn't have. You improvise, swap, and guess your way through the session — and your progression pays for it.
- 11,000 exercises you'll never touch
- Plans built for a gym that isn't yours
- Manual swaps and mid-set guesswork
- Altor fixes this at the root: it starts from your gym's real floor.
How it works
Three steps. Then just train.
Find your gym
Search the Altor directory. When a gym is Certified, we visit in person and map every machine and verify the inventory.
Download the app
Once your gym is Certified, equipment is pre-loaded. No setup, no manual entry. Just open the app and start.
Train with plans that fit
Every exercise resolves to what's actually on your floor. Automatic substitutions when something's unavailable.
The difference
Your plan should fit what's available. Altor makes sure it does.
At an Altor Certified gym, we map the floor in person — every rack, machine, and station. Your plan resolves against that exact pool, so you never get an exercise your gym doesn't have.
- Back squat Squat rack
- Leg press Leg press
- Lat pulldown Cable tower
- Cable fly

Mapped in person
Not a checkbox for "barbell" and "machines." We walk the floor and record what's actually there — down to the specific stations.
Plans that fit the floor
Every exercise resolves to equipment your gym has. No manual substitutions, no guessing an equivalent mid-session.
Yours to carry
Your training history belongs to you — take it to any gym, any city. Change floors, keep your progression.
Explainable progression
Not an AI coach. An engine you can read.
Altor's progression is deterministic: the same inputs always produce the same output, and every change carries a reason code. It adapts your training through a credit-gated cascade — four checks, in order — and shows its work at each one.
- 01 Recovery Pass
- 02 Workload Pass
- 03 Intensity +2.5 kg
- 04 Volume Hold
- 01
Recovery
Are you recovered enough to progress at all? If your feedback says you're still beat up, the engine holds.
- 02
Workload
Has the work you've done earned a change to load or reps?
- 03
Intensity
Should the weight move — and by how much?
- 04
Volume
Should the number of sets move? The last gate, not the first reach.
You approve every plan, every session, every progression. The system suggests; you decide. Why we don't build an AI coach

What does Altor Certified mean?
When we certify a gym, we visit in person and map every machine, every zone, every station — verified by us, not crowdsourced. When you train at a Certified gym, your plan knows exactly what's available. Substitutions happen automatically when something isn't.
What Altor is — in one breath
A workout app built around your gym's actual equipment. Equipment-aware plans, deterministic progression, and training logic you can understand — made for people who train seriously, not people who want to be impressed by features.
